    3. I am searching for an obit for William Cooper Simons. He died in Waco in the last half of 1948. He was born May 17, 1873. I believe he is buried somewhere around Waco. He had four brothers and four sisters. I do not know his parents names, but I believe that they lived outside of Waco on a farm. He was married in 1898 to Carrie Belle Bays in Erath county. They were divorced in 1913 or 1914. If anyone can help with information I would be grateful. If I can manage a trip to Waco, would the newspaper or the library be more likely to have records of the papers from that era? Diane Farabee

    3. The Waco-McLennan County Library has a set of books that list those persons who died within the city limits of Waco. That might help you find the exact date of death so you won't have to search through the newspaper, as it is not indexed except for obits up through 1916.
