William McMillan THOMPSON b. 8 Mar 1821 in County Londonderry, Ireland, md. 20 Apr 1842 in Glasgow, Scotland to Sarah BELL b. 9 Apr 1809 in County Down, Ireland, daughter of John and Sarah BELL. William Sarah came to the U.S. in 1842 on the ship Yorkshire docking at the Port of New Orleans. They took a steamboat upriver to IL. Migrated to Utah in 1848 then to Leavenworth, KS by 1865. The lived in High Prairie Township. Their children were: 1. William M. THOMPSON Jr., b. 17 Mar 1845 in Hancock Co., IL, md. 4 Sep 1871 in Leavenworth, KS to Sallie CRUTCHER. William died 1881 and Sallie re-married to a Harry Hunter in Leavenworth Co., KS. William Sallie had these children: Rose T. md. Robt. SCHERER , George W., Mary, Lulu M. md. Arthur SILVERNAIL, and Walter. 2. Robert B. THOMPSON, b. 31 Jan 1847 in Iowa. Md. Ora? Robert died 1888. Ora took their children and moved to Topeka, KS. Their children were: Henry, Charlotte md. Joseph BLEAKLY, Beecher and Kate. 3. Sarah I. THOMPSON b. 20 Jul 1849 in CA or UT. md. 13 May 1870 in Jackson Co., KS to Thomas Kiddo WILLSON. Their children were: 2 infant boys, Sarah L. md. Joseph F. COOK, William Joseph, Mary Elizabeth md. Samuel A. HARRISON, Emma Daisy md. Samuel A. WARDEN, Hester Maria md. John Mel SCHWIEZER, Robert Newton md. Florence IRWINE, and Zoe Jane md. Walter C. SMITH. 4. John Bell THOMSPON b. 30 May 1851 in Ca or UT., md. 25 Mar 1875 in Platte Co., MO to Mary Emily GIST. They migrated to McLennan Co., TX in the 1870's. Their children were: Arthur C., md. Edna B. MARTIN, Robert R. md. Nell ?, Birdie E. md. W.S. MORAN, Myrtle M. md. Dabney BAREFIELD, William L. md. Ruth ?, Roy E. md. Ora L. SWART, Amelia md. John M. HARLAN, Florence T. md. Robert CHIZEK, Zoe K. md. J.M. DEAN, Gist md. Mary Joe ?, Thomas W., and Joe. 5. Hyrum B. THOMPSON b. 21 May 1853 in UT, died 26 Jul 1856. 6. Joseph Smith THOMPSON b. 6 Oct 1855 in UT, md. 14 Nov 1877 in McLennan Co., TX to Mary Zoe PARDO. Joesph migrated to Texas with his brother John Bell THOMPSON in the 1870's. Joseph Zoe had these children: Nora md. Frank LEAHY, Ivey E. md. W. C. SCOTT, Lucy md. Orville MAY, Joe P. md. Gladys E. MONTGOMERY, and Frances.
