I am trying to find out what might have brought my great grandparents to McGregor, TX around 1895-1986. They were from Tennessee but sometime after 1894 (when a daughter was born in TN) they went to TX (still trying to figure out what kind of travel they took) and had a son there in 1896. Then they are found again in Tennessee when another son is born in 1899. I have no idea when they arrived (bef 1896) or how long they stayed (left bef 1899). Was there some time of employment movement that made people come there for work or something. My great grandfather was in the lumber business...logging, etc. James Spivey (Spiva) b. 1864 GA m.
