    2. Could anymore tell me who to call or write to get a death certificate for Martha Ann (Lee) Moore. She was born about 1826 or 26 in the Edgefield Districct of South Carolina then moved to Mt. Hilliard, Alabama. Her husband was Daniel Moore. She died in Waco, Texas, February 15, 1905 or 1906. I'm trying to find out who her parents were and hoping the death certificate will tell me. Thank you for your help. Shirley Norfolk e-mail: snor222563@aol.com

    3. Hi Shirley, If a death certificate was issued, it may be in McLennan County (Vital Records Office) or in Austin (Texas State Library and Archives Commission) or both. TX death records have been kept at the state level since 1903. For a lookup, scroll to the bottom of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission web page and e-mail your request to them (her name, when and where you think she died). Texas State Library and Archives Commission, Texas Vital Statistics: http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/arc/vitalfaq.html Or you can contact the McLennan County Vital Records Office Waco-McLennan County Public Health District Vital Statistics Division 225 W.
