    3. I am back! Sorry the laspe but my allergies decided wreak havoc on my labor day weekend. Just a reminder of the source... Friendship Class St. John's Methodist Church Waco, Texas Choice Cookie Recipes Of The Friendship Class St. John's Methodist Church Waco, Texas 1948 pg 30 Fudge Frosted Brownies 1/2 cup shortening 3 sqrs. unsweeten chocolate 1 cup sugar melted 3 eggs 1 cup pecans, chopped 1/2 cup sifted flour Pinch salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla Work shortening with spoon against side of bowl until creamy. Gradually add sugar, continuing to work until light. Add beaten eggs, one at a time, beating 60 strokes after each addition. Fold in flour. Then add melted chocolate, nuts, salt and vanilla. Pour into greased pan, 9x9x2 inches. Bake in moderate oven of 350 degrees F. 40 minutes, or until done. Remove from pan, and while it's still warm frost with fudge icing. Cut into 36 squares. -Thelma Brim ************ Dream Bars First Mixture 1/2 cup butter 1 cup flour 1/2 cup brown sugar Mix thoroughly, pat down in pan and bake 10 minutes in 300 degree F. oven.
