I was listing on eBay a Bewley's cookbook. Sprinkled through-out are a few comments from Texas women who had used the flour. Well, on pg. 28 was one of those ladies and she was from Waco!! What Miss Georgia McCluskey, 1900 Mitchell Street, Waco, Texas had to say about all-purpose flour (I assume she used Bewley's): "I always use all-purpose flour in making my finest cakes. I reduce each cup of flour by three tablespoons, and sift it six to eight times. I also sift the sugar I use in my cakes. I fine that all-purpose flour gives body, flavor, and the fine texture that I want in a cake." When I come down the Old Dallas Road from the credit union towards 'town', to get to Behren's Circle, there is an old white bldg. that looks like it might have been a store once. It's situated next to a trailer park. Very faintly you can see the old advertisiment painted on the side for Bewley's!! Teresa G.O.S.P.E.L. - God Offers Sinful People Eternal Life
