    1. 1892 and 1903 Obits in McLennan Co.: Waco, Crawford, McGregor?
    2. Looking for an obituary for my ggg-grandmother SALINA ROXANNA (nee Dean) CARTER, b.1819, died March 10, 1903. She is buried at Osage Cemetery, just inside the Coryell County line west of Crawford. Would also like to find an obit for her husband (my ggg-gf) James CARTER (b.1815). He died 7-15-1892 and is also buried at Osage Cemetery. Am hopeful obituaries were placed in a McLennan County newspaper. James and Salina CARTER lived in McLennan County starting about 1869-70. At first they lived in Waco, but by 1880 had moved west of Crawford to the Tonk Creek area. After James died, I don't know if Salina lived alone or with one of her children: daughter Sarah SUMMERS lived in Crawford; daughter Mollie McILHANEY lived in east Coryell County; son William CARTER lived in Waco; daughters Amanda HUNTER and Bell CARY lived in East Texas; daughter Missie OLIVER lived in San Angelo. Son Robert CARTER had either passed away or else whereabouts unknown. I don't think Salina lived with son James Buck CARTER. Any help finding Salina's and James' obituaries greatly appreciated. They might be in newspapers in Waco, Crawford, or McGregor or some other town around there that had a newspaper?; and/or if in Coryell County, perhaps the Gatesville newspaper? Thanks, Sharon Hitt hitt@ev1.net or nannyhitt@yahoo.com

I know James and G.Z. were bakers but thats about it. Any suggestions or help would be wonderful, as I live in Pa. Thank you, Lisa
