My grandfather Francis Marion Duncan Hopkins Jr. (F.M. Hopkins) owned a farm near Voca, McCulloch County, Texas from 1885 until his death in 1926. Actually this farm stayed in Hopkins family until 1933 or 1934. I have notes which various family members have shared with me of my grandfather Hopkins. It is said that he was a farmer, blacksmith, builder and bridge engineer. His public service included that of school trustee, and election judge. In 1892 he was elected to two public offices. Beginning 1 Jan 1893 he served one term as Precinct #2 Count commissioner, and 2 terms as Justice of the Peace. Do you know how I can confirm this? Any pointers will be helpful. Thank You,
