The weekend after I got your letter I was called out to fight fire Saturday night after work and never got back until late Sunday night. Then I had to be to work at 7:00 AM Monday. The range fire was up on Powder River on the Montana/ Wyoming line. That stuff gets tiring when you are on this side of 60. To prove the McLaughlins are squirrely, I quit a forty hour a week job where all I had to do was ride around in a pick-up and boss for this. About the McLaurines at Winnsboro, that was just a very small place. A cotton gin and general store. The Lonesome L is in McCulloch County, it's a Brooks Ranch. Uncle John also worked at the Camp San Saba Ranch. I'm sending you a picture of the McLaughlin family taken in Carlsbad, NM. You can figure about when by the size of the kids. They are, Marley, the tall one, Ed next, the John. Then Adis and Sally. I couldn't remember any of the people in the pictures you sent. I think the little boy and girl with the wagon is Bill and Ethel. We had one like it. 50 years + is a long time to remember for a guy who can't remember where he put his hat ten minutes ago. I hope the picture is plain enough so you can get one off of it. Write soon, Red
