She was born Oct. 10, 1924 in Nordheim to Pedro and Pauline Pena. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church of Sugar Land and a former member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City. Survivors: daughter, Yolanda Martinez of Sugar Land; sons, Robert Romero of Houston, and Jesse Romero III of Bay City; sister, Magdalena Longoria of Bay City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, Jesus Romero. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Sunday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
