Ruben Newell, eulogist. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Bay City. He was born in Van Vleck, Texas, on March 13, 1932, to Minnie Ellis, Sr. and Orelia Rugeley Ellis and passed away December 1, 2005, in Houston, Texas. Survivors include: wife, Barbara Ellis of Bay City; two sons, Curtis Ellis (and Ethel) of Wharton, and Carl Ellis of Ft. Worth; two grandchildren, Christi and Christopher Ellis; four sisters, Dorothy Allen of Houston, Ruby Southall (and Frank) of Van Vleck, Vera Wright (and Ernest) of Brazoria, and Idell Mildred Ellis of Austin; two brothers, Leroy Ellis of Bay City, and Otis Ellis (and Georgia) of Dallas; also a host of other relatives and friends.
