She was born March 23, 1952, in Puxico, Missouri, to the late Belva Shepherd and Thelma Paige. She was married to Faustino Montalvo, Jr. Carol Sue Shepherd Montalvo was a caring, lovable wife, mother, friend and grandmother. Carol was a dedicated, loyal employee of Mr. Gattis Pizza, where everyone who knew her, and loved her for over 20 years. Carol was a member of Bay City Baptist Church. She battled with cancer for many years, always thinking of others before herself. The Lord has taken her home to rest and relieve her burden of cancer. She will be missed by all who loved her. She is at peace in heaven. May God rest her soul. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Jamie R. Montalvo and Elizabeth (Lyzz) Oros Montalvo; sisters, Helen Everhart of New York, and Lois and husband Arthur Estes of Marblehill, Missouri; brothers, Don and wife Sharon Shepherd of Puxico, Missouri, Wayne Shepherd of Lebanon, Missouri, Gary Shepherd of Lebanon, Missouri, and Roy Shepherd of Arkansas; and two grandchildren that she dearly loved so much, Brandon and Lauren Montalvo. She was preceded in death by: her parents and her brother, Kenny Shepherd of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on December 14, 2005 at Taylor Brothers, with the Pastor Lee Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial in Van Vleck, Texas.
