Gibbs, 46, of Bay City died April 18, 2006 at Matagorda General Hospital. Larry was born November 16, 1959 in Bay City, TX to Harrell Denson and Etta Jean Joines Gibbs. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a life long resident of Bay City. Survivors include his mother: Etta Jean Gibbs; sister: Carol Sue Gibbs both of Bay City; aunt: Irene Hale of Castroville, TX; uncles: Kenneth R. Gibbs & wife Beth of Ingleside, TX, J. T. Joines & wife Juanita of Thompsons, TX, W. R. Joines & wife Albina of Francitas, and Morris Richardson of Houston. He was preceded in death by his father Harrell Gibbs. The family would like to thank the staff at Bay Villa Nursing Center for all of the kindness extended to Larry, also to Dr. Neret and Dr. Sacco for the wonderful care they gave to Larry. Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2006 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Curtis Dykes, Clarence and Jimmy Joines, Kenneth A. Gibbs, John Hale, Bobby Bonorden, Duane Coulter and Rex Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth R. Gibbs, J. T. & W. R. Joines, Morris & Donald Richardson, & his train buddy Tommy Shults. The family will receive friends at Taylor Bros. Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
