She was born November 25, 1956, in Bay City, Texas, to Edward Wayne and Georgianne (Dornak) Smith. She was a 1975 graduate of Alice High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979 from Southwest Texas State University. On September 1, 1979, she married Terry L. Machost in Alice, Texas. Mrs. Machost was a troop leader for the girl and boy scouts of America. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen. She is survived by: her husband, Terry L. Machost; children, Erin Nichole, Nathaniel, Jeremiah, Daniel and Rebecca Machost, all of Allen; mother, Georgianne Smith of Canyon Lake, Texas; brother, Michael Smith of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Debra Slayton of Montgomery, Texas; grandmother, Jessie Long of Bay City, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Wayne Smith. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, with the Father Anthony Moonjanattu officiating. Interment followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family received friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
