She was born on April 23, 1941, in Cedar Lane, Texas. She was preceded in death by: father, William Herman Owen; mother, Birdie Owen; sister, Dorothy Parker; brothers, Fred Owen and William Owen Junior; and husband, A.D. Smith. Survivors include; daughter, Beverly Smith of Van Vleck; son and daughter-in-law, DeeWayne and Windi Smith of Van Vleck; sister, Wanda Walker of Cedar Lane; brothers, Leo Skipper Owen of Van Vleck, and Roy and Carl Owen of Cedar Lane; grandchildren, Robert Mayne and Paige of Sargent, and Shane, Susan, Brittany, Kelsey, Tori, Jeremiah and Chloe Smith of Van Vleck; and great-grandchildren, Ty and Chase Maynes of Sargent.
