Kelly passed away on March 14, 2006, at his home after a courageous year-long battle with sarcoma. Bob will be remembered for his keen sense of humor and lust for life. He was born in Bay City, Texas, on December 21, 1952, to the late Robert W. Kelly and the late Maurine Faye Kelly. He was a graduate of the University of Houston and had a career working in medical sales, most recently with Monaghan Medical. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia Ann Kelly. He is survived by: his sons, Robert “Robbe” Kelly and Collin Kelly of Houston, Texas; grandson, Nicholas of Houston, Texas; sister, Gloria Ziegenhals of Rockport, Texas; twin brother, Billy W. Kelly of Splendora, Texas; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are cordially invited to a “Celebration of Life” memorial gathering on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, from seven o’clock until ten in the evening at La Tapatia Mexican Restaurant, 1749 Richmond, Houston, Texas. Memorial donations may be made in his name to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030 or to the charity of your choice.
