Officiating at the services was the Rev. J. H.? Gwin. Eggleston died April 30, 1983 at Wagner General Hospital. Survivors include husband, E. E. Eggleston of Palacios; daughter, Peggy Shearer of Victoria; 2 grandchildren. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Palacios. The Daily Tribune Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas May 2, 1983 EGGLESTON Graveside services for Egbert Elem Eggleston, 80, were held Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Palacios Cemetery with Rev. Doug Blanton officiating. Eggleston was born July 22, 1904 in Atlanta, TX and died July 31, 1904[sic] (1984) at his residence. He was a retired self employed retail merchant and had been a resident of the area since 1931. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Shearer of Victoria; two sisters, Verna Hodges of Oakwood, TX and Vera Oden of Baton Rouge, LA; and two grandchildren, Kelly Luska and Zayne Luska of Victoria.
