Surnames: Kocian, Bucek, Wasek, Dornak, Smith Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/plB.2ACI/3624 Message Board Post: Lottie Lee Kocian Feb. 8, 1921 — Jan. 24, 2006 Mrs. Lottie Lee Bucek Kocian, age 84, of Bay City and a former resident of Hungerford, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006, in a Bay City nursing home following an extended illness. She was born on February 8, 1921, in Hungerford, Texas, the daughter of the late William Bucek and Liddie Wasek Bucek. Mrs. Kocian was a longtime resident of Hungerford until moving to Bay City in 1979 to live with her sister, Georgie. She married William A. (Willie) Kocian on April 4, 1946, in Wharton, and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1975. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wilton J. Bucek and Leonard J. Bucek. Mrs. Kocian was protestant by faith. She was a homemaker all of her life and a member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 148 in El Maton. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband and she had a deep appreciation for her pets. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2006, at the chapel of the Wharton Funeral Home, with Mr. Paul Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Wharton City Cemetery. Survivors include: two sisters, Georgie B. Dornak of El Campo, and Evelyn Smith of Houston. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Pallbearers were her nephews, J.W. Bucek, Ken Bucek, Dennis Dornak, Dr. Douglas Dornak, Craig Fendley and Laddis Kocian. If desiring, the family requests memorials to the charity of your choice.
