One of my dad's cousins even wrote me that ours was a Robert Smith who settled in Gonzales. When I found out they were from Germany and told my dad he was surprised. Later, I received the death certificate for John and Mariah's son, and that got me on the right track. Thanks for the information you have sent. I will send some in an email.
