He was born June 11, 1900 in Hill County, Texas. Survivors include Mrs. Maudie Hauff of Matagorda; four daughters, Mrs. Stella Phillips, Mrs. Marie Gasaway of Pasadena, Mrs. Dorothy Boley of Sweeny and Mrs. Joyce Schneider of Port Lavaca; Two sons, Kenneth and Clyde Hauff of Matagorda; one sister, Mrs. Maudie Husak of Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Hauff was a retired rig operator for Parker Brothers and has been a resident of Matagorda for 10 years. Services will be held at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5. The Rev. Franklin Files of Sweeny Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Matagorda Cemetery. Arrangements with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.
