Her journey ended after a very rich and full lifetime of wit, love and laughter. She leaves behind a host of family and friends to mourn her loss and celebrate her life. Kay was born in Houston, along with her twin sister "May", on August 29, 1927 to J.W. and Lura Arnold Sartwelle. She married Hugh Franklin Buffaloe on Valentines Day in 1950. Both her parents and husband preceded her in death as well as her brothers J.D. and Henry Sartwelle and in-laws Frank and Mary E. Buffaloe. She is survived by: children, Mary Anna and husband Jimmy Bosshamer of Houston, Caroline and husband Rafael Hill of Long Beach, California, Henry of Palacios, Tommy and wife Sonja of Madisonville; her beloved grandchildren, Kaylin Buffaloe, Anna-Marie Buffaloe , and Noa Hugh Hill; brother, Robert Sartwelle of Gilham, Arkansas; sisters, Helen Buckley and Mary Jane "May" Willis of Houston, and Margaret DeBardeleben of Birmingham, Alabama as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews. A private Family Memorial service was held on May 7, 2006 at St. John's Episcopal Church with Dr. James Ely officiating. For those desiring, donations may be made to St Johns Episcopal Church Bldg.
