Debbie was born on September 14, 1956 in Luling, Louisiana to Julia Nicholas Tastet and the late Earl J. Tastet. Debbie and her family moved to Bay City in 1985. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Holy Cross Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, Bay City High School Band Booster Club, and Bay City Women's Bowling Assn. Debbie's family and friends will remember her as a very generous and giving person, her integrity and wit, enthusiasm for life, and her strong belief in faith. Debbie is survived by: her husband of 25 years, Daniel Layton Clanton; son, Daniel Paul; mother, Julia Tastet; sisters, Jeanette Tassin, Natalie Giovingo, and Stephanie Rester; brothers, Earl "Pie" Tastet, Gary Tastet, Shelly Tastet, and the late Leroy Tastet and Ferris Tastet. She is also survived by sisters-n-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a great, great niece. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church on May 2, 2006 with interment at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, Louisiana.
