Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Oliver Southall officiating. Interment was to follow at Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda. Mrs. Hauff died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000 in Bay City. She was born August 20, 1905 in Bosque County, Tex. to Jim Hadley and Lillie Hastie Hadley. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Matagorda and a resident of Matagorda for the past 30 years. She was known by all for her great love of home, family and friends. She took great pleasure in fishing and working in her yard, which was a joy for all passers-by. She is survived by: her daughters and sons-in-law, Stella Phillips of Bay City; Marie Beck of Sweeny, Dorothy and Jerry Boleyn of Sweeny and Joyce and Dickey Schneider of Port Lavaca; by her son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Arlie Hauff of Matagorda; by a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Pauline Hadley of Olivia; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in deth by: her husband of 57 years, Phillip Hauff, son Kenneth Hauff; and two grandchildren, Jerry Boleyn and Mike Davis Gasaway. Pallberers were to include: George West, Mark Phillips, Ricky Gasaway, Calvin Taylor, Clyde Hauff, Jr. and Kenneth Hauff, Jr. Arrangements were with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
