He was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Abbyville, Kansas, to David Stonestreet and Ellen Copenhaven Stonestreet. He was a resident of Matagorda County for the past 21 years and was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electricians Local No. 716 of Houston, Texas, and a retired industrial electrician. He is survived by: his wife, Martha Waites Stonestreet of Blessing; his son, David Gail Stonestreet, Jr. and wife Colby of Blessing; and his grandson, Drake Lee Stonestreet of Blessing. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas. Arrangements are with Palacios Funeral Home, Palacios, Texas (361) 972-2012.
