He was born May 8, 1925 in Duncan, Okla., to the late John Luther and Malley Tadlock Bloomfield. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 7th Calvary in the Pacific Theater. Survivors: daughters, Ira Mikki Thompson of Port Lavaca and Jeancie Thompson of Blessing; sister, Annice Hill of Carlsbad, N.M.; brothers, Jim Bloomfield of Sealy, Toby Bloomfield of Blessing and Corky Bloomfield of Baytown; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: wife, Jean Pointer Bloomfield. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Dr. Watson officiating. Taylor Bros.
