Gayle was the first-born child of K.J. and Bessie Richardson. After graduating from Van Vleck High School, Gayle attended Massey Business College. Gayle married Bobby Harold Walker, Jr. on April 17, 1981, and they made their home in Dickinson, Texas. Gayle was working as an administrative assistant for Galveston County in the County Extension Office, where she devoted her time and talent to children through 4-H and many other organizations. She was an active member of Grace Community Church, where she taught a weekly Bible class for young children. Gayle was preceded in death by her father, K.J. Richardson. She is survived by: her husband, Bobby Harold Walker, Jr. of Dickinson; two daughters, Tricia Marks and husband Andy of Florida, and Amanda Meadows and husband Adam of League City; two grandsons, Ryan and Nicholas Jenkins of Bay City; mother, Bessie Richardson of Sweeny; two sisters, Wanda Redd of Bay City, and Patty Wright and husband Dale of Sugar Land; one brother-in-law, Tommy Walker and wife Linda of Texas City; plus six nieces, two nephews and many other loving family members and wonderful friends…and her devoted pet schnauzer Belle and loving grand-dog Maggie. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2005, at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2005, at Crowder Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Corrie Bowen, Jeff Davenport, William Johnson, Bill McGlothlin and Sean Walker. Gayle will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
