He was born September 22, 1954 in Wharton, Texas to John Henry Roe and Hilda Johnson Roe. He was a lifelong resident of Bay City and a member of the Baptist church. He is survived by his son, Steven E. Roe, Jr. and wife Alyson of Houston; his mother, Hilda Roe of Bay City; sister, Donna Davis and husband Jimmy of Van Vleck; brother, Butch Roe and wife Peggy of Van Vleck; two grandsons, Zachary and Brandon Roe of Corpus Christi; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John H. Roe. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2005, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Zimmerman officiating.
