Following cremation, a memorial service will be held from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Blessing Community Center. Mr. Tolleson was born July 12, 1930 in Palacios to the late Thomas Argyle and Lucy Ophelia Norris Tolleson. He was in the Navy from 1948-51, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Alcoa and was a heavy crane operator overseas and at the South Texas Nuclear Project. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Tolleson; daughters Lisa Perez of Ganado and Kim Kieler of Wharton; stepdaughter Sandy Williams of Blessing; son Jeffrey Tolleson of Blessing; stepson James Williams of Blessing; sisters Bobbie Brune and Carolyn Mertz of Palacios; brother Billy Tolleson of Camp Wood; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
