Church in Bay City with the Rev. R. R. Simon officiating. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Bay City. Visitation will be Sunday until 9 p.m. in the chapel of Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home, and Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Mr. Amey died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999 at the Specialty Hospital in Houston. He was born April 28, 1921 in Ashwood to Alfred Amey and Joella Miller Amey. He was a graduate of A. G. Hilliard High School in Bay City and Prairie View University in Prairie View. He was a World War II Veteran, a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a school crossing guard. Survivors include: wife, Melissa Amey; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Sandra Wilkins, Dwain and Audrey Wilkins; one brother, Roy L. Amey and his wife, Jessie Mae, all of Bay City; and a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home in Bay City.
