She was born August 29, 1955, in Palacios, Texas, to Houston Lemley and Aline Broussard Bickham. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, a resident of Lake Jackson for the past two years and a former longtime resident of Palacios. She was a 1973 graduate of Palacios High School and attended Atlantic City Community College. Survivors include: husband, Michael Harold Moody of Freeport, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Jana Danielle and Kevin Wade Bayless of Lake Jackson; mother, Aline Broussard Bickham of Palacios; brothers, Melvin Ray Bickham and wife Shirley of Moss Point, Mississippi, and Bobby Louis Bickham and wife Nancy of Dickinson, Texas; three sisters, Maxine Aline Travers of League City, Texas, Diana Susan Moehrig and husband Scotty and Debra “Debbie” Gail Cowan and husband Billy, all of Bay City; brother-in-law, Daniel “Dan” Booker Meaders; two grandsons, Keith “Wade” and Kamren Hunter Bayless, both of Lake Jackson; 18 nieces and nephews; 27 great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-nephew; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by: her father, H.L. Bickham; sister, Betty Mae Meaders; and nephew, Melvin Ray Bickham, Jr. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2006, at the Trinity Baptist Church in Palacios, Texas, with the Reverends Dan Meaders and Louis Rush officiating. Interment followed at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers were her nephews: Carl Bickham, Troy Travers, Tracy and Todd Childers, Jason Sciba and Tres and Joel Ansley. Honorary pallbearer was her son-in-law, Kevin Bayless.
