L.C. Cunningham, Jr., eulogist. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home chapel. She was born in Cedar Lane, Texas, May 8, 1917, to Ezell Spiller and Lucinda Griggs Spiller, and passed away January 8, 2006, in Bay City, Texas. Survivors include: one daughter, Joanetta Watkins and Jesse of Gurnee, Illinois; two sons, Ronnie Smith and Carol of Houston, and Andrew Smith, Sr. and Berrilyn of Bay City; two step-daughters, Mary Anna Smith of San Antonio, and Inez Smith of Bay City; daughter-in-law, Shirley Smith of Bay City; brother, Reginald McHenry of Houston; step-sister, Vina Bouldin Helms and Alonzo of Galveston; sisters-in-law, Willie Smith Clark and Audrey Gartica Bouldin, both of Bay City; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Moses Smith, Sr.; a daughter, Bettie Jean Smith; a son, Moses Smith, Jr.; a grandson, Andrew Smith, Jr.; and siblings.
