She was born in Bay City on July 24, 1916, the youngest of six children, to Dr. Burt Lee and Mayme Livengood. She is preceded in death by: her twin brother, Dr. Gerald Livengood; three other brothers, Moyes, Richard and Burton Livengood; and a sister, Helen Livengood Allen of Bay City. She is survived by: her daughters, Caroline Bearse Dechert of Canyon Lake, Texas, and Jennie Joy Bearse Adams of Yuba City, California; her nephew, Jim Allen of Bay City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Geraldine lived and worked most of her life in Bay City. She worked in the Matagorda County tax office and was an assistant librarian at the Bay City Public Library. She lived in Kerrville, Texas, for 19 of the last 21 years. Her passion was reading which she enjoyed all her life. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Eden Home Chapel in New Braunfels, Texas. A graveside service was conducted Monday, January 9, 2006, at Fischer Cemetery, Fischer, Texas. The family requests that gifts be made to a public library or to Hope Hospice, 611 N.
