Mr. Wobbe had been a resident of Pledger since 1978 and was a former resident of Wharton and New Gulf. He married Margaret Valencia Baca on June 25, 1946, in Wharton. Mr. Wobbe was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boling. Mr. Wobbe worked with Texas Gulf Sulphur Company for 32 years was a supervisor in the machine shop for four years before his retirement in 1984. He was also preceded in death by a brother Henry Wobbe in 1967. A rosary was held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Wharton Funeral Home and a funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton with Rev.
