I am looking for the descendants of Mahlon Pettit (Pettus), b. abt 1829, SC who married Martha Tilley, b. GA in Bienville Parish, LA in 1850. They were in DeWitt, Tx in 1860. Some of their grandchildren, children of William Jasper Pettit, b. abt. 1852 and Mary Caroline Golden, were born in Llano, Llano, TX: Fred Pettit, b. 1892, George Wesley Pettit, b. 1883, Mahlon Pettit, b. 1889 and Willie Ida Pettit, b. 1880.
