    3. Hi Gaylon and list. Wanted to let you know that I've opened the gateway to the list from the Llano Co. genconnect boards. (The Queries, Bible Records, Biographies Obituaries, and Wills.) This means every message posted to these boards will be automatically re-posted on the Llano list. The only one of the boards, that you will be able to post queries or replies to is, the query board. But, you can enter your own info on the others. This way, you must go to the query board for responses. Saves you having to check each board for responses and stops posts that aren't related to that particular category. Since this is a low volume board, anyway, I don't think it will create a terrible duplication of posts for you. Oh, also, I've changed the set up of the boards to let you read every message on any of them, that has ever been posted, without you're having to type a surname or subject in. Sometimes, we just don't know the spelling used for the surname, we're searching for.. The last thing, is about the Llano County page. There are 4 links that are still not working. I am trying to find the correct URL's for them. They weren't working, when I took the page over. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but hope to have them fixed, soon. O.K., enjoy.. Sue Ashby

    3. As list administrator for LAMPASAS, LLANO, MASON, and SAN SABA Counties, I just thought you should know about a new features that RootsWeb has developed. When someone goes to a RootsWeb county web site (not just these 4 counties) and places a query in the GenConnect Board, the message will also be forwarded to the respective emaillist. Those of you on the Mason and Lampasas lists have probably already noticed some of these queries that have been posted the past day or two. 1. [TXLLANO] Roll Call, PHILLIPS, BAKER, OWEN,
    2. Oliver Cromwell J. PHILLIPS, and Mary Ann BAKER PHILLIPS came into Llano County between 1850 & 1860. OCJ Phillips established the community of Valley Spring, TX, and a historical marker is located there in his honor. He was born in TN, and Mary Ann was born in AL. Cannot seem to get back beyond that. After Fayette Co., TN, then went to Ouachita Co., Arakansas, from there to Llano County. Children were Rufus, Samuel W, William Oliver, John W, Sarah Catherine, George Washington and James. This scoundrel has led me on many chases over the years. Be nice to finally catch him!! Best regards, Betty Jo Teffeteller Phillips BPhill8183@aol.com
