He was a saddler and a boot maker. He may have owned a shop in the county. He married Amanda McGinnis. Their son William McGinnis Hill is my wife's great grandfather. Are we related? I know there were, some Templeton folks, in the area. The only Alphonso Templeton I find in the Board Branch cemetery is a David Alphonzo Templeton b. 1884, d. 1953. Looking for information on James Fry, born in Tennessee ca 1844 and is found on the 1900 Llano Co., Texas census. Children listed within the same household were: Clara, James, Vessie and Lenora (Lou N). James' wife apparently died sometime before June 1900 because he is listed as a widower. The children listed that their mother was born in Alabama. There were other children besides the four listed above but so far I have only found Rosie Ella and William. Fry, James - Mar 1844 (51) - TN - Alabama - Alabama Fry, Clara - dau - Aug 1882 (17) - TX - TN - Alabama Fry, Vessie M. - dau - Dec 1884 (15) TX - TN - Alabama Fry, James J. - son - Feb 1887 (13) - TX - TN - Alabama Fry, Lou N. - dau - Dec 1888 (11) - TX - TN - Alabama Vessie M. Fry was born 1882 in Texas and married William Andrew Williams in Llano Co., Texas on Aug 14, 1904. She died in either 1954 or 1955 and is buried at Board Branch Cemetery. Lenora was born Dec 12, 1888 and married William M. Gage on July 11, 1904 in Llano Co., Texas. Lenora died Dec 23, 1905 and is also buried at Board Branch Cemetery. Rosie Ella was born ca 1880 and married George Wesley Harned on Nov 27, 1895 in Llano Co., Texas. William was born April 1874 and is listed on the 1900 Llano Co. census, his age was 26. He may have married Ollie Scott? There is a James Ira Fry buried in the Llano City Cemetery that was born Feb 6, 1886 and died Dec 19, 1940, I believe this to be the same person that is listed in the census above. James Ira married Lillian Leuenia Leverett in Llano Co., Texas. My GGrandparents: Vessie Fry & William Andrew Williams My Grandparents: Clarice Ivera Williams & Herman Leslie Rogers I'm having a terribly hard time find any information on this Fry Family so any help given would be greatly appreciated. Her husband's name was Calvin Wright whom she married about 1865 in Llano, Tx. Eliza died before 1916 in New Mexico. She was the daughter of George Washington and Melissa Holden. There is a Wright's Creek Cemetery in Llano(about 3 miles north on Hiway 16. George W. & Melissa Holden are buried there along with Andrew Jackson & Nancy Holden (their son and my ggrandparents). He rode the "Llano Circuit" of the German Methodists. He was the pastor at Castell at one time. It is my understanding that some of his sons may have permanently settled in Mason and/or Llano Counties.
