I have him as the son of William Thomas Cox b: 1820 ,Wilson,TN married Sarah M Doherty b 1839 LA had Dr Joseph Wilmer Cox b: 1867 LA d: 1947 Limestone Co TX. He delivered me because his son Dr Stanley Cox was in the Navy in WW2. Dr. Henry Cox died in 1935. Dr Stanley was just the best Doctor I have ever run into. This family shows up on the 1880 Limestone Co TX census & I do not have a Matthew Madison Cox in the family but that does not mean this is not the same Wilmer Cox they were sure born the same yr. William Thomas Cox was married 1st to Emmerline McKnight in 1852 & I am still trying to work all of their kids out. I will help you more if I can.
