Need information on following family: John E. ROWLAND b. abt 1843 KY and wife, Mary Jane KEELING GIBSON ROWLAND b. 1842 in Towncreek , AL, living in Mexia in 1880 (Census) and have moved to Dallas by 1889. John Rowland dies in Dallas abt. 1890. Mary Jane Rowland dies in Dallas 1935-1937. John Rowland may have owned a general/hardware/dry goods store in either Mexia or Groesbeck. In 1880, they have two children, John b. abt 1879 and Mary b. abt 1875, both in TX, possibly Limestone County. Also living with them are Mary Jane�s daughters, Lily GIBSON b. abt 1862 and Camille Irene GIBSON, b 25 Dec 1865. Lilly Gibson marries J. W. HAGERMAN in Limestone County on 24 Jan 1881. Camille Gibson marries Emanuel S. INNERARITY in Limestone County on 15 Sep 1883 or 1884. Questions: Where do they come to TX from? (Possibly MS). (Of course, the story is they had to leave MS in the middle of the night, etc. etc.) Are there other family members, ROWLANDS, KEELINGS or HAGERMANS, living in Limestone County at the same time?na If anybody else is working on these families, please let me know.
