    3. My question was a long shot. I do not recognize any of the names you mentioned. T J Storther was my grandmother's first husband. My father came from her third marriage to a William Karr. In between she was married to a man named Smith and apparently they divorced. I have not been able to find out anything on these first two marriages, except the date I mentioned in Kaufman County. Sorry I cannot be of any help to you. Thanks for replying to my question. ...Wanda... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff and Debra LaMel" <dlamel@sw.rr.com> To: <TXLIMEST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 23, 2004 11:03 PM Subject: Re: [TXLIMEST] Roll Call > Wanda > Do you know the parents of Thomas Jefferson Strother by chance > i have heard that name before but cant remember where > > Most of my Strother/Strawther lineage came from Gonzales to Jasper to > Limestone Co Tx but never know > > the furtherst I can go back is William Strother/Strawther who married > Eliza > Ann Foster they married in jasper co Tx on 6-15-1851 then by 1860 they > were > in Gonzales Co Tx then Eliza in 1880 was living with her son in law and my > gggrandfather Leonard Louis Crockett in jasper co Tx again they moved to > Limestone after that > > William was a CW Casualty dying on 2-5-1863 and Eliza died on 7-30-1898 > she > is buried in Tidwell Cem in Limestone Co Tx and there is a memorial marker > for William as well however he is buried in Jim Hogg co Tx > We dont know the parents of William Strother/Strawther however sure wish > we > did > He is listed as William Strawther on his marriage records but on census > records he is William Strother on some and Strawther on others > I have a photo of his daughter Sinia "Sinny" Jane Strawther my > gggrandmother > and 2 of her brothers with there wives and Sinia husband as well on the > back > of that photo my father wrote > that Sinia and her brothers were full blooded creek indians from GA. i > have > been unable to prove that so far but have been trying mainly becuase on > the > census records William says he was born in Alabama > > i have not worked on the Strawther lineage for a while I have been working > on my Crockett and Michum lineage for the last 5 years however I do do > some > occasionaly > > > Funny thing is that William and Eliza's daughter Sinia is my gggrandmother > and her Uncle Wiley Wood Foster married Sinia husbands Leonard Louis > Crockett's mother Clarissa Ann Richardson (nee)Richardson (married first > time to 2nd cousin Robert W Richardson ) Crockett (2nd husband and my > ggggrandfather Andrew David Crockett)Foster (married my gggggrand Uncle WW > Foster) > > Debra LaMel > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Wanda K.
