Wilds K. Cooke, an early Texas doctor, was the brother of Hiram W. Cooke, Texas Ranger in Coryell County, and of Louis P. Cooke, Texas Secretary of the Navy. Dr. Wilds K. Cooke died in Limestone/Robertson County in April 1882 near Bald Prairie. He was survived by his wife Mary D. Hutcheson and his adopted son Brown K. Cooke (born abt. 1869).
