I did some "rambling" in Limestone Co. several years ago (mostly exploring old cemeteries), and it seems like I remember going to Sandy, but can't be sure. I have a lot of family from Limestone Co.---Browns, Bryants, Kindreds, Sheltons (and many more collateral lines)---and had never been there until about 1996 when I spent several weekends in the area. I now live in MO, so it's much harder to get back to visit. What are your families from the area (if you don't mind sharing)? Also I have a copy of the "Roadmap to Limestone County, Texas Cemeteries" done several years ago by Lisa M. Rothrock & Betty M. Morrow, so can sometimes help with locations of cemeteries. Happy Huntings!! Jan Lindley in MO Jan, I was just curious about the Sandy cemetery since there was no name for it on my map. My surnames are Matthews, Grooms, Christopherson/Christoferson and Erickson. All except the Ericksons lived around Coolidge. The name where we might have a connection is Bryant. My great aunt, Lillie Mae Grooms married Robert Bryant. I do not know this week where he was from, but I will next week as I have finally located a copy of the genealogy she worked on for years. My mother's copy burned in a fire. I go to the area occasionally -- a lot this Spring. If I can help with photos or documents please e-mail my personal address. Rondina

    3. Hi cousin---We do have a connection; your Robert Bryant (Jr.) was the g-grandson of Harrison Bryant & Elizabeth Frances Brown. He was the grandson of Ervin F. Brown and the son of Robert Brown. Harrison & Elizabeth were my gg-grandparents; I'm descended through their son, Edward Reagan Bryant (brother of Ervin F. Bryant).
