Hi, Candy, My name is Debra and I am researching the Crockett name mostly but I am also related to some Rutherfords and am on the Rutherford site with Paulyne and others so far we have not been able to make a connection but I know of at least one marriage so far Hettie Elizabeth Rutherford married Andrew Jackson Crockett in Llano Co in 1886. Hetties parents were James Edmund Rutherford and Martha Anna Rogers and they were married in Jasper co in abt 1856. Hettie is buried in Leon co in Keechi Cemetary along with her grandmother Hettie/Hetta Hodges Rutherford wife of Lindsey James Rutherford. Andrew Jackson Crockett's brother Leonard Lewis Crockett was my gggrandfather they also had another brother David (DC) Crockett who supposedly married a Eliza. Ann Rutherford in Limestone Co in 1877. Eliza was on the Leon Co Tx 1870 census with her parents as being age 12 so in 1877 she would of been 19. but on the 1880 census David is married to a TEL. Then in 1900 David is buried in Leon Co at the same cemetary as Hettie and her grandmother. I believe that our Rutherfords are connected but don't know how yet. By the way Eliza. Ann is the daughter of Lindsey James also. I believe that these 2 families meet through Davy Crockett of Alamo fame. Have not been able to prove the parentage of Leonard, David and Andrew's father Eli Crockett yet. If you know fo any connection please let me know. I have alot of the ancestors of Hettie and her parents and siblings. I have a copy of the mariage of Lindsey and Hettie they were married in Hardeman Co Tn on 10-07-1830. If you would like any other info on htese Rutherfords Please feel free to ask. I have no idea where Eliza. Ann Rutheford Crockett is buried. I believe somewhere in Limestone Co. I have not been able to find her anywhere so far. Andrew Jackson Crockett is buried in Antioch Cemetary in Buna, Jasper Co Tx. My gggrandfahter is buried in Mart Cemetary in Mart Tx.
