Pat Looks like we are on the same track. I found a minute ago a Rootsweb Worldconnect file which states that Thomas R. Whatley, the son of Isaac and Sarah (Cardelia) Whatley, married Annie W. Overhiser in 1886 in Limestone County. Pretty close match to what you found. Now I also have confirmed that in the 1880 Texas census there is only one Overhiser family (any spelling variation) in the state of Texas. And in 1900 census I find only the two sons of Samual and Mary Overhiser (by then he has died and she is the second wife of William C. Hart, my gg grandfather). Those two sons are both living in Ennis, Ellis County, Texas. So if this is all the Overhisers in Texas then I think it is a pretty safe guess that Annie W. Overhiser was the same one. Now add that to the Daisy I. Whatley living as a 12 year old boarder with W. C. Hart and Mary O. Hart in 1900 census and I guess it is a pretty good liklihood that Daisy was Mary's granddaughter. So I think that Annie married Whatley then Cox, don't you? Is there a Annie Whatley married to a Cox in your vast research? Do you need any more info on Wm C. Hart for your Limestone files? thanks so much for your help Marcia Hart Wilson In a message dated 1/27/2002 4:18:46 PM Pacific Standard Time, [email protected] writes: > Marcia > All I show is W C Hart married Mary J Overshiser 1884 in Limestone Co. > TX. > she is buried at Tidwell Cemetery. > I also have a Columbus Walter Hart b 1877 but not connection to WC above > that I know of , I do not have parents for Columbus Walter Hart I have > his wife & children & wife's parents. > I also searched all of my Annie Unknowns looking for one married to a Cox & > do not find one. > Limestone marriage book has Annie W Overheiser to T R Whatley 1885. > Could your Annie have married again to a Cox? > Pat Oates in TX.
