I found Rice Henderson in 1840 Jackson Co. ALA census & in 1850 Sevier Co. Ark. living neighbors to his dau. Martha Henderson b: 1835 who married Nathan Henry Jackson. They came to TX some time after 1850 & are in the 1860 LCT census they are neighbors to the King L Henderson family who also came from Jackson Co. ALA. These families were in the Box Church/ Old Union areas but at this time these locations were not called what they are known as today & the roads were in different locations. Rice Henderson did not have a wife in the 1850 census so this makes it even more possible that he is the Rice Henderson who married Susan Phifer who was in LCT. Talking to a friend in Limestone Co. he said his Aunt thought Rice Henderson was buried in Phifer Cem. but his marker can no longer be found if he is. Children of Rice Henderson found so far: Henry b abt 1832 TN Martha b: abt 1835 TN married Nathan Henry Jackson John b abt 1838 TN John Henderson was living with Nathan H & Martha Henderson Jackson in the 1850 & 1860 census. Henry was living with Rice Henderson in the 1850 census. Thanks Pat Oates in TX
