    3. Hello Patricia, from Ron in southern California. Wow ! You got a real flurry of activity with your recent announcement. Here's another one: I am looking for information about my g-grandfather Hardy JONES. Also his first wife Martha Caroline Blackburn Jones, and his second wife Polly Ann Levina Sparks Jones and any of their children. Hardy moved to Mount Calm, Limestone County before 1857. He was the first post master. His son, William Lewis Jones, was the fourth post master. Martha Blackburn Jones died in 1881 and is buried in the Mount Calm cemetery. Hardy JONES lived in or around Mount Calm until at least 1884. Hardy and Polly Ann had two girls, Linnie JONES, born in 1882 and Eva JONES born in 1884. The family has lost all trace of these sisters. Can you or other subscribers help me ? Ron Jones

    3. Ron I have just gotten into the Kirk,Prairie Hill area in my research so unless your group married into another family I have then I may not have anything but will sure check tonight. I have a BUNCH of Jones in the computer but I am sure you know that having had to research Jones. :>) I have not at this time found a connection with the many Jones that were in Limestone Co. Just off the top of my head I can tell you that there was a Blackburn family in the Elk, McLennan Co. TX area which is not far from Mt Calm. I will hunt my book on Elk & see what it says on Blackburn. I also know of several other Sparks in early Limestone Co. so will just have to do some checking as time permits. They should be on the 1860 census. I am reading the 1900 Limestone Co. at this time. When I go back to the 1860 I will keep you in mind. Pat Oates in TX.
