Hello Rebecca and Patricia, I am the Jones in southern California who has been working with Patricia about my Jones line in Limestone County. The Calvin Jones mentioned as marrying Susan Champion is not related to my Jones family. My g-grandfather, Hardy Jones, arrived in Mount Calm, which at the time was in north Limestone County ( they moved Mount Calm to Hill County I forgot when, but when the railroad came. The cemetery is still in Limestone County) . Hardy arrived there in the early 1850s probably from Shelby County Texas. He was about 30 years old at that time and already married to Martha Caroline Blackburn. They married in Daviess County, Indiana in 1846. He was the only one of his Jones family to come to Limestone County. Hardy and Martha had nine children before she died and was buried in Mount Calm in 1880. The boys were William Lewis, James Alfred, John D. and David Wilson, born between 1853 and 1873.
