SAMUEL F. WILSON passed way August 26, 2004, on his birthday. Born in Groesbeck, TX to Octavia and Mack Wilson, deceased. He graduated from Groesbeck High School and attended Lon Morris Junior College. Veteran from the United States Air Force as a pilot. Employed by Diebold, Inc. and retired from Globe Equipment Rental in 1985. Sam enjoyed traveling, an avid golfer, and loved nothing more than being with family and friends. Survived by wife of nearly 59 years, Margaret Hearn Wilson; brother, Fletcher and wife Margie; brother-in-law, Robert Hearn and wife Dorothy; sister-in-laws, Mary Lummus and Nadine Wilson; brother-in-law. Robert Zimmerman. Hosts of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; as well as friends. He considered his godchildren, Suzanne Kircher and Bob Hearn his "daughter" and "Son", as they always lived nearby. Visitation will be from 5 to 7P.M. Sunday, August 29, 2004 in Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 30, 2004, with interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories with military honors. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.
