Pat, Thanks so much for your reply. Believe it or not, the census citation you sent I already have and the Laura was a mistranscription from the images. That household is Sarah M. McCAIG. The child Enouch listed (actually spelled Enoch) is my grandfather. Thanks for the clue about Davis Prairie. Enoch left home and lived with a Sherman Dean as a farm hand and in 1906 he joined the Methodist Church at Rogers Prairie. Later he settled in Madison Co., TX. Again, thanks for the info. Barb in MS
