I am looking for information on the following MOCK line: 1880 Hunt Co., TX census shows: GEORGE Y. MOCK age 40 b. GA and Leanna, wife, age 37 b.AL Children: Sarah E. age 13 b.TX Rosa age 9 b.TX Addie age 5 b.TX (dau) age 1 month b.TX IT ALSO SHOWS in their household: SION MOCK, brother, age 43 b.GA JOE MOCK, father, age 72 b.GA, father born SC mother born GA GEORGE YOUNG MOCK b. about 1839 GA married Leanna J. b.1865 Ashley Co., AR. George Y. Mock appears first on the 1850 Randolph Co., GA at 11 yrs. old with father JOEL MOCK. Joel Mock moved his family from Dooly Co., GA to Ashley Co., AR by 1860. GEORGE Y.(oung) MOCK, in the summer of 1861 was in Co. L 3rd ARK Regiment and served until surrender in the Civil War. Especially looking for information on this MOCK family after they moved to Texas. I do know that this MOCK family moved to TX January 1879 and that George Young Mock had died by 1899. His widow, Leanna, was living in Brewer, Freestone Co., TX at that time and applied for his Civil War pension. Leanna Mock died in 1920 at Personville, Limestone Co., TX in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Charles F. and Rosa (Mock) Pickett. Daughter Sarah Ellen Mock became the second wife to Gideon P. Bryson in Freestone Co., TX. Daughter Addie Mock married G.M. Young 1897 Freestone Co., TX.
