    3. I have read other posts you sent to the list on this line. The only George Sanders I know that was in the Oletha/Old Union area was the son of T Fowler Sanders & this George Sanders was born in 1887. I do not have a burial place on this family but his father is buried in Ft. Parker along with other members of the T Fowler Sanders family. I don't think any of this line of Sanders are buried at Ferguson Cem. I have worked every marker & rock in Ferguson Cem many time & have done some genealogy on almost every family buried in the cem. since it the Joseph Ferguson family cemeter & that is my line & lots of people buried there are related. For a long time in the early days only family or related families were buried in the cem. then after Joseph Ferguson died & most of the children they turned it into a community burying place. If this George Sanders is the same man who lived down there he was involved in a hunting accident that killed my Husband's Uncle when he was a teenage boy. Also if this is the same man they lived very near Old Union not Oletha. I will ask the lady who knew this family when she was a child & see if she can remember what George Sanders wife's name was. I have been doing some work on this line for some time now but do not have any really good documentation for you. Also have Stevens & Brown info. but nothing on the names given. Don't give up you never know what will turn up around the next corner. Pat Oates in TX. Stevens and later to George Rumulus Sanders. I was told by someone that Lillie's family was buried in the Ferguson Cemetery but couldn't locate anything when I went and walked it. They said she may be the daughter of Robert Brown and possibly related to the Mayo's. I have been looking for her parents and the parents of Jess E. Stevens.

    3. Pat, The only reason I mention George Sanders is because he married my great grandmother after my grandmother was born, but I thought finding something on him would lead me to someone who knew the Brown family. My mother stills recieves oil royalites from the land in Oleatha so I know the family lived there. I don't know anything on the Sanders family. Nona Faye Sanders Krueger is the daughter of George and half sister to my grandmother. She is the one that supplied the info on Ferguson Cem. but she also says my grandmother spelled her name with a ph which is wrong. I have copies of the marriage records and ss on my both grandmothers. It is definiteley Stevens with a V. I know that Lillian is buried at Ft.Parker with George R. Sanders. But have no idea about Lillian's parents or the location of my great grandfather Jess E. Stevens brother to Tom and Katherine. I am sure some of the family has that info but no one has said. I wanted to talk to some of them at my great uncles (William G. Sanders) funeral last month in Centerville but my grandbaby was very ill and in the hospital and I didn't get to attend. I haven't had much contact at all with the other half siblings. But I am still looking! 3. Patti Can you tell me what the land grant that the lease is from or something about the oil lease that might help me identify some of this for you. One of the Sanders families I have used the girls names of Nona & Faye but they are not old enough to be yours & I know this family well. I may call a friend and ask him if he remembers any of the names you have given. His Sanders do not tie to the T Fowler Sanders lines as far as I can tell. Boy have you gotten me to wondering now. I am going to Groesbeck on Mon. if I have time will try some digging. Pat Oates in TX.
